Amy’s Painted Body Golden Beetle Initiation

Amy has been a good friend since I moved to Santa Fe. Her Spirits told her last winter she was to do the Painted Body initiatory photography work with me,  but the weather necessitated waiting until now. It was a very powerful experience, a landmark, a gateway into the embracing the beautiful new life she has created. It was a release of old relationships, patterns and perceptions as she walks her new found vibrancy and vitality. It was an incredible honor to share this with her; her spunk, determination and surrender to the process were a gift.

As we began the shoot I looked down into the mud and there was a golden beetle at our feet. It looked as if it has been gold leafed, and spoke of ancient connections and the resurrection of the timeless soul. We luv yah precious messenger.

The land also called her, initiating her tennis shoe about five minutes into the canyon. We bent over howling as it took her many minutes to haul the shoe out of the muddy quick sand. She was brought  down by the Terra Spirits on many other occasions; a sanctification of her earthly incarnation. We love the red earth. Thank you for all your support on this fascinating journey of expansion.

She’s so bad ass

I have also added a few images from my own recent shoots honoring The Water Spirits and releasing my own binds with a nod to “The Marrying Maiden” in the Tao Oracle and the 8 of Swords in the Rider Waite Tarot. The final image is an incredible orb picture my friend Brent from Seattle took at our day in Abiquiu. You can see more of my work at www.OracleofInitiation.com and on Facebook at “Oracle of Initiation.”

You are an amazing being. You are a beautiful Nature. You are an Underworld of Joy pressing up through the mud and hardened ground. Released is the Golden Ball lost in our youth. You can Play. You do.

It looks like a beautiful place. I am sure the shoe is fully recovered.
