Connie Parriott’s Wake on Whidbey Island

It was a beautiful ceremony on a sunny, blustery northwest afternoon. Friends and family remembered artist, mother and wife Connie Parriott through story and food, gathering to celebrate a beautifully creative woman. After a procession of guests walked through the winding paths on the property, her daughters spread her ashes mixed with wild flowers so she will always be blooming in that place.

Beforehand my father, Dick Weiss and I visited the “other” Dick, Dick Marquis and his wife Joanna at their magical artists compound. Both couples, Dick Marquis and Johanna Nitzke Marquis, and Connie and Charlie Parriott (along with myself and my father Dick ) were featured in MK Barr’s Painted in the Desert documentary film offering a rare glimpse inside working artists worlds.  We welcome  your inspirations to flow down into us Connie from your view on the other side. Big love Angel nurturer woman.
